- Remember Marcheline Bertrand
- From Wikipedia.com - Born in Chicago, Illinois, Marcheline was very close to her sister Debbie and Brother Raleigh. In 1966 the family moved to L.A.. Bertrand married actor Jon Voight on December 12, 1971. The couple had two children, actress Angelina Jolie and director James Haven. Bertrand and Voight separated in 1976 and divorced in 1978. In 1978, Bertrand met documentary filmmaker Bill Day. Day and Bertrand were together for 12 years. After her split from Day in 1993, Bertand turned her attention toward producing. She was the executive producer of a documentary, Trudell, about Native American activist John Trudell. Towards the end of her life, Bertrand preferred to keep a low profile and did not grant interviews. She died January 27, 2007 from ovarian cancer in Los Angeles.

Thanks so much for sharing those photos of Marcheline. I really admired her for her power and caring for her children, I think if Angelina is what she is today was because her mother inspiration. Sheyla Hershey
